I warned you. Kawhi the alien has taken over the NBA and has his eyes on not only a 2nd title, but a 2nd Finals MVP. KD is looming and has the potential to return so that poises a threat to the Canadians and a shot at their first title. He can easily swing the momentum in this series but will it be enough to reverse the 3-1 deficit that they were on the wrong side of in 2016.
Toronto is a dope team and they are fun to watch. The more I watch, the more impressed I get. Lowry has been clutch, which hasn’t been his forte in the past and Kawhi brings an energy that is simply unmatched. Marc Gasol is low key a difference maker and gives the Warriors plenty to worry about down low. They have what it takes and I hope they can close this thing out at home.
The bad guys know a little something about 3-1 series though, so maybe they can bring those horrible memories (terrific ones for me) and turn them into fuel for these next game(s) ahead. I fully expected them to win at home in game 4 even without KD but they simply shit the bed and allowed Kawhi to do his thing and take control of every aspect of the game, especially in the 2nd half.
Tonight is big… Toronto is ready to celebrate and Jurrasic Park will be in full force. Drake will be wearing something toxic and ready to talk shit to Draymond. If the Warriors take this game in Toronto, expect them to keep that ball rolling back home in game 6. If I had to make a prediction, I would say KD comes back to bring it all the way to game 7. That game would be in Toronto and a hell of a spectacle to watch.
In reality, I hope Kawhi pops off tonight and finishes it before the Warriors get a chance to head back to The Bay. It is clearly their best chance to give the Canadian fans something other than hockey to brag and celebrate about.
Tune in at 9 PM on ABC to see what goes down and if KD’s return has enough power over the momentum of these two teams fighting for a championship.
Thanks for reading and be nice to each other.
