If anyone was an advocate of this HBO drama, it was me.  Going into the first season, I wasn’t hyped, I wasn’t telling people to check it out.  But it was HBO and usually no matter the story, I am willing to give their shows a chance just because it is HBO.  After the very first episode, it was clear that this was a special show with a special cast.  Visually, it is one of the most beautifully shot shows I have ever seen.  The lighting and camera work was mesmerizing and artfully crafted in a way that brought out these characters stories in a very cinematic and dramatic fashion.  The character development and story telling was vivid and masterfully done.  A second season was most definitely not guaranteed but it felt necessary for many of the shows fans and creatives behind it.

We have been teased about this second season for over a year and a half.  Finally we have a teaser trailer that shows more of what we can expect this summer.  The same ladies are back but with a few notable additions to the cast, including some lady named Meryl Streep…
