Surprisingly well done and chillingly spooky is the best way to describe the dark Netflix reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as it exceeded my expectations by a long shot.  I never grew to be a huge fan of the family sitcom but as a horror nut, this had my attention the first time I had a chance to see the trailers a few months back.  It was obvious that they were offering a brand new dark retelling of the classic series that gave viewers a whole new perspective on the characters that we have known for so long.

It is more than a fun story of good and evil, rather a constant struggle for each individual character to overcome challenges and develop throughout.  A battle between witches, warlocks, demons and the devil himself gives us plenty to enjoy as a viewer, all while experiencing legitimate horror through the eyes of Sabrina.  As a huge fan a Mad Men, young Sally Draper has grown up as an actress and is absolutely killing it as the blonde witch.  The casting for this show was great and it showed throughout.

The first season is available to binge at the moment on Netflix but we were recently given an early xmas gift as they just dropped not one, but two teasers for upcoming Sabrina installments.  The first being a Christmas special titled A Midwinter’s Tale.  This story seems to be centered around the longest night of the year, the winter solstice.  Of course in witch terms, this means a celebration of the darkness that comes with it.  The trailer looks awesome and will be posted here for you to see.  This special will be released on Netflix on December 14th so look out for that.

The next teaser is giving us a glimpse of Part II, which looks like we are picking up right where we last left Sabrina.  This trailer had me hyped and the good news is that the wait is not too far away.  April 5th of 2019 is the set release date.

Here are the two teasers for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale & Part II.

Enjoy and be nice to each other.
