Let me take you back to the days where you could strap yourself into the boots of John Marston, roaming the open world of the American Frontier in the year of 1911. Rockstar Games created a game for the ages back in 2010 with Red Dead Redemption. This was of course following the original Red Dead Revolver in 2004. One of the most unique gaming experiences and a true trend setter in the industry, Red Dead gave us the open world western experience we never knew we wanted. It was fun, thrilling, and extremely personal. You WERE John Marston and his reputation was a reflection of your own decisions. You could build up his honor by catching outlaws and assisting the public or funnel your inner demons and make him one of the most feared outlaws in all the land.
All reasons why I am so pumped for the next chapter in the series, set to be released in October of this year. Red Dead Redemption 2 has seen multiple delays and has had a few issues in the development stages. This could be for a number of reasons. Could it be in response to the current wave of gameplay that is taking over the industry? Do I dare say that they are developing a…. Battle Royale game mode? Hear me out. They had an extremely successful multiplayer mode in Red Dead Redemption. Why not expand on that and cater to what the people want?
Set in 1899 and as a precursor to the previous game, Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to be released October 26th of this year and I couldn’t be more hyped. Here is the most recent trailer released by Rockstar Games…
Enjoy
