Purple Haze: 4.5 out of 5
Purple Haze is a well-known craft beer and for good reason. It is delicious. Usually, even if I enjoy a particular fruit flavored beer, I can only do one before switching back to a non-fruity choice. This is an exception. It still has the classic American lager taste, but with a perfectly subtle note of raspberry at the end.
Jim Patton and Rush Cumming founded Abita Brewing Co. in 1986. They craft their beer using the artesian wells in Abita Springs, their home town. It’s located about 30 miles outside of New Orleans, LA.
